You may be just the person we need.  We are currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join our Design Department.


Position Description: The Quality Engineer will be responsible for translating project requirements and specifications into a clear design concept.  As a member of the Conceptual Design and Development team, the Quality Engineer will help convey effective building ventures from concept throughout construction.


Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of concrete design and design of precast/prestressed concrete components
  • Knowledge of steel and connection design
  • Design and detail repairs for nonconformance items
  • Provide detailed calculations including connections for repairs
  • Considers best economic solutions in determining repair
  • Position requires coordination and interaction with other FINFROCK employees in the office, manufacturing plant and field sites on solutions for repairs
  • Inspection visits to field site or manufacturing plant may be required
  • Assist in developing practices to reduce the number of nonconformance items
  • Ability to work flexible schedules based on manufacturing plant and field site needs
  • Additional items or duties assigned to improve quality
  • Reports to Chief Structural Engineer

 

Requirements:

  • Four-year degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Engineering Intern license preferred
  • Professional Engineering license is a plus
  • Ability to communicate in both written and verbal formats of English at a professional business level required
  • Training Requirements:

Precast/prestressed concrete design training required

QC training required

Manufacturing training required

Erection training required

Installation of repairs (practical experience)

  • Clean driving record
  • Candidates not already residing in Central Florida must be willing to relocate.
