Our History

History timeline of FINFROCK Commercial Building Components.

FINFROCK Industries, Inc. was established by Robert JD Finfrock in 1945 to develop concrete products for residential and commercial construction.

The business started with floor and roof tiles. Soon Finfrock’s engineering experience and ambition drove the company's expansion into wall systems, specialty technical concrete development, prestressed concrete utility poles and innovative commercial building components.

Under the leadership of structural engineer Robert D. Finfrock, the founder’s son, the company further expanded into advanced prestressed concrete structure design, manufacturing and construction.

The second and third generations of the Finfrock family continue this legacy by developing revolutionary new building systems and improved processes. These processes continue to reduce risks to clients that are inherent in traditional project delivery methods.

Today, with nearly 700 employees FINFROCK is one of Central Florida’s 50 fastest growing companies and one of Central Florida’s largest employers. Ranked by the Orlando Business Journal as the #1 Local General Contractor, FINFROCK is also ranked among the top ten privately held companies for the Orlando Business Journal’s 2018 Golden 100 and is ranked #45 among the Florida Fast 100, showing consistent growth year over year. The company also received the OBJ’s Developer of the Year award in 2018 and the Innovations in Technology award in 2017. FINFROCK garnered national attention with a cover story in Multifamily Executive Magazine as well as other industry trade publicatons for its unique DualDeck Building System.

With a robust portfolio of commercial buildings in the multifamily residential, student housing, mixed-use, office sectors as well as being recognized as the largest design-builder of parking structures across the country, FINFROCK’s trajectory is quickly gaining the attention of developers who want to experience a better way to build.
