You may just be the person we need! We are currently seeking a Construction Accountant.
Set up construction project budgets in JD Edwards.
Oversee the workflow of subcontractor commitments, monthly pay applications (including related change orders), and subcontractor change orders from PMWeb to JDEdwards.
Oversee the payment process in JD Edwards to meet subcontractor and vendor obligations in a timely manner.
Record the monthly (owner) requisitions in JD Edwards and apply the owner receipts against the A/R module in JD Edwards.
Review the monthly projects’ Budget to Actual Report with project managers.
Prepare the monthly Job Cost Schedule.
Perform monthly close and related journal entries, using JD Edwards.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
Assist in the preparation of financial reporting requirements.
Prepare bi-weekly expected cashflow reports for Executives.
Assist with Ad Hoc projects as they arise.
Collaborate with our Business Intelligence department to look to improve reporting efficiencies
Assist with other accounting tasks as needed
You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field
2+ years of progressive accounting experience
2 to 5+ years of job cost, cost accounting, and/or construction accounting
You have proven progressive accounting work experience with construction related organization
You possess excellent Microsoft Excel skills and are adapt at mining for data
You have the ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision
You possess excellent time management and organizational skills
You are an excellent communicator
You have the ability to read and understand various contracts and scopes of work
You are self-motivated and self-directed
You are a team player and great at collaborating with others
