We are currently seeking a Field Quality Control Inspector.

Job Description

  • Use surveying equipment to verify layout of gridlines, formwork, elevations, and other elements of the structure
  • Inspect and verify foundation components prior to placement of concrete:
    • Reinforcing clearance, size, spacing, and location
    • Embed type and location
    • Step heights, reinforcing, and locations
    • Locations of blockouts, waterstops, cold joints, etc
  • Verify erector’s conformance of Precast Erection using Building plans, PQSM and EQSM:
    • Bracing Plan
    • Structural Connections
    • Grouting
    • Placement of product
    • Structural components
  • Use tablet computer to document inspected areas and to designate locations of specific issues/deficiencies
  • Report all deficiencies / non-conformances to designated engineer, architect, or other party via electronic platform
  • Perform/report on safety inspections of jobsite conditions and equipment
  • Report all findings, cleared areas/levels, etc. to relevant inter-department personnel
  • Other responsibilities are associated with this position as this is not an all-inclusive list of job duties but is meant as a general outline to describe the scope of responsibilities

Experience

  • You have minimum of 1 year of experience performing field inspections of concrete structures and/or welds
  • General knowledge of building construction
  • You have the ability to communicate in both written and verbal formats of English at a professional business level
  • You have good organizational skills, computer/smartphone-savvy, and willingness to continually learn new technology/software
  • You have the ability to engage with others in a professional manner to coordinate and solve issues
  • You are a confident, assertive individual who is a self-starter with a keen attention to detail
  • Experience in precast concrete is a plus
  • You have the ability to work in an environment that is 50% field work, 35% driving, 15% office work (includes meetings, filing reports, coordination with other departments, training, etc.)
  • You have the ability to meet all driving requirements set forth by FINFROCK (insurance minimums, reliable transportation, etc.)
  • You currently live in Central Florida or are willing to relocate
  • You must have or be willing to obtain the following certifications:
    • ACI Field Testing Technician Grade I
    • PCI Certified Field Auditor certification
    • PCI individual personnel certifications (I, II, III)
    • AWS Certified Weld Inspector (or CAWI) certification
    • 30-hr OSHA training
