Infrastructure Software Developer Job Description

The Infrastructure Software Developer, under direction of a manager, will use software development skills to operate with a customer-centric mindset, understanding that every authorized employee is a client, and we are here to support them. Job duties include:

Maintain and expand the functionality of company software assets including application, reporting and analysis software.

Maintain existing reports and develop new reports.

Monitor and configure new features while maintaining and improving existing products.

Help maintain a list of company software and system assets.

Monitor and manage the upgrades to our systems to keep technology current.

Aid in the planning and execution of infrastructure projects.

Address the technical challenges of your colleagues by being a collaborative partner, working side-by-side to solve problems and ensure quality.

Assist in the development of innovative and creative approaches to solve complex problems.

Explain complex technical concepts to nontechnical colleagues and respectfully train them to use software and hardware.

Provide infrastructure solutions, operational support and problem resolution for large systems.


You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.

You have 3 to 5+ years of software development and software infrastructure maintenance experience.

Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

You have experience with developing multi-tiered applications using the Microsoft Stack – Advanced knowledge of MVVM using WPF in C#, MVC Website Development in C#.  Should have knowledge of developing multi-threaded Windows Services in C#.

You have experience with SSRS and SQL.

You have the ability to write TSQL procedures.

You have an understanding of how to write efficient SQL code.

You possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

You have strong oral and written communication skills—and a knack for explaining your decision-making process to non-engineers.

You are proficient in negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills.

You understand common computer security structures and must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.

You have knowledge of data processing, networking, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications and user support.

You have the proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in an environment with changing priorities.

You are an optimistic team player with a strong work ethic and moral courage.

You have great communication skills and the ability to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule.

You like to share new ideas and challenge the status quo thoughtfully and with respect.

You frequently work with a proactive mindset, using initiative and forward thinking, and you continually look for ways to improve performance, quality and efficiency.

You are able to familiarize yourself with the technologies and platforms we support to better provide support for users, ensure availability, and enable new features/capabilities.

The ability to understand and work with large system integration technologies and techniques is a plus.
