First responders and news media chose the Hyatt house Naples/5th Avenue location as an emergency operations hub where rescue efforts were conducted around the clock during Hurricane Irma*. PROJECT PROFILE:
PALM BEACH ATLANTIC UNIVERSITY

West Palm Beach, Florida: FINFROCK built a student housing structure accommodating 184 students, 13,000 square feet of academic space and 526 parking spaces in one structure covering less than an acre.

The cost savings the university realized through FINFROCK’s integrated project delivery method paid multiple dividends – including one that would come years after the structure was built.

Hurricane Frances, an intense Atlantic hurricane, proved to be very destructive for Florida and Palm Beach County specifically. It was a slow moving storm that stalled over the Palm Beach area and brought intense winds and huge amounts of rain over a 24-hour period. Despite power outages, flooding, leaks and water damage to several structures in surrounding areas, the student housing building built out of concrete by FINFROCK did not experience the same fate.
