You may just be the person we need! We are currently seeking a Plant Safety Technician.

Job Description

The plant safety technician will inspect work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state, federal and site-specific safety policies and regulations.

This job operates in the manufacturing facility, on job sites, and in an office environment. This role requires time spent in the manufacturing plant as well as infrequent trips to FINFROCK locations, project sites, bank, and long-term storage facility.

Document safety inspections, cite dangerous areas/procedures and recommend corrective procedures to Manufacturing Managers, Supervisors, and Foreman.

Maintain safety equipment (PPE) supply and ensure availability.

Become familiar with all applicable OSHA and company specific safety policies, overseeing FINFROCK employees and temporary workers in the manufacturing plant and ensure they are following OSHA protocols.

Independently evaluate jobs/tasks and procedures performed in the manufacturing plant and recommend appropriate task modifications, PPE, or other appropriate actions.

Work with people at all levels within the organization from a safety perspective.

Assist with safety duties at FINFROCK Manufacturing facility in Belle Glade, FL which will require travel to Belle Glade.

Assist with safety duties at FINFROCK job sites throughout the state of Florida which will require travel to the job site location.

Experience

A two-to-four-year degree is preferred, or a high school diploma or equivalent, with proven manufacturing safety experience.

You have a working knowledge of manufacturing practices.

You have the ability to interpret and apply OSHA standards.

You have the ability to recognize and correct safety-related hazards and target any potentially unsafe conditions.

You possess a current Florida Driver’s License with clean driving record along with appropriate automotive insurance.

You have or are willing to obtain an OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certification in General Industries. OSHA 30 and OSHA 10 training can be obtained through FINFROCK Authorized Trainers.

You have an OSHA 501 certification, or are willing to attend all training courses and testing required to obtain an OSHA 501 certification once all prerequisites have been met.

You have an OSHA 511 certification, or are willing to attend all training courses and testing required to obtain an OSHA 511 certification once all prerequisites have been met.

You have the ability to work long hours with regular travel.

Salary commensurate with experience.
