After employing the traditional design-bid-build process for its new garage, the City of Gainesville found itself hopelessly over budget. This initial process resulted in an estimate for a 460-stall garage at an extraordinarily high cost. The city then called for a competitive design-build solution for a garage on a larger footprint. FINFROCK’s solution brought the city an 807-stall parking structure, which even included 4,100 square feet of office and retail space, at a 75% savings under the original number.


FINFROCK served as architect of record, structural engineer, design-build contractor, and parking consultant for the project.
