Precast Concrete Production Supervisor Job Description

The precast production supervisor will plan daily activities for four crews

You will plan crew activities/duties for two weeks

You will keep staff levels within budgeted hours

You will ensure plant safety programs are followed

You will maintain employee and job schedules

You will work closely with other departments including the scheduling department for area of responsibility

You will manage inventories and coordinate with other departments

You are able to interview new hires and train and mentor junior leadership

You understand that all injuries, even if minor, shall be reported to management and/or the safety office

This is a full time position that may vary outside the normal work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Depending on the area you work in, the shift may require working in the early morning or at night

Personal protective equipment will be required for most areas to work, including boots, hardhat and gloves. Depending on the position you work in, safety glasses, hearing protection, dust mask and other PPE may be required

Experience

You have a minimum of 2 year college degree or 2 years experience in the field

You have supervised employees in an outdoor environment and your 2 years of experience include inventory management

You have experience in opening/closing a facility

You have maintained and completed a production scheduling

You are able to safely lift 50 lbs. at any given time during the shift

You are able to follow instructions and demonstrate good team work
