Receiving Specialist Job Description

Are you ready to take your experience to the next level?  FINFROCK, Central Florida’s #1 Design-Builder, is putting together a team of experienced professionals to assist our Finance & Administration department on a variety of efforts that support our large-scale commercial building projects and manufacturing facility. 

  • Receive material receipts accurately with no errors.
  • Track and receive material deliveries
  • Verify Shipped quantities with an accurate count.
  • Coordinate the material flow from arrival to put-away.
  • Deliver materials to the proper areas in a timely manner
  • Run Receiving Reports Daily.
  • Work with Production, Planning, and Purchasing teams to maintain accurate and on time purchase order delivery.
  • Maintain and update Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost metrics for Receiving department.
  • Maintain accurate filing of all receipts and documentation.
  • Conduct audits for Inventory, 5S and Safety.
  • Move material within the warehouse and manufacturing plant.
  • Problem solves issues that arise using root cause counter measures.
  • Must be able to work independently and also with team.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. safely at any time during the shift.
  • Flexible and willing to work in other areas as needed per business needs.
  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by work area, such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel toe shoes.
  • Must follow all standard work procedures.
  • Must follow all established company SAFETY policies and demonstrate safe work practices.
  • Must be able to identify unsafe conditions and report them to department supervisor, manager, or Safety Coordinator.
  • Deal with complexity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Experience

  • Proven work experience in the Purchasing/Procurement function is desired in a Manufacturing and/or Construction environment.
  • Appropriate education and experience would include an Associate’s degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and three to five or more years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in incoming receiving function
  • OSHA approved forklift license, required
  • Basic knowledge of JDE System
  • Basic computer skills, ability to work in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Sending and receiving emails.
  • Strong English communication skills (read, write, and speak) Bilingual a plus
  • Basic knowledge of LEAN techniques, preferred
  • Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
  • Excellent attendance
  • Detail oriented and organized
