Accounts Payable Specialist Job Description
Review workflows for commitments, commitment change orders, progress invoices and miscellaneous invoices.
Record pay applications and vendor invoices in ERP system.
Prints and obtains signatures on all check disbursements.
Distribute signed checks as required.
Communicate with project managers on a timely basis regarding open obligations.
Answer inquiries related to pay applications and vendor invoices; and works to resolve any discrepancies.
Maintain all subcontractor and vendor accounts payable files.
Assist financial management and other accounting personnel as necessary.
Assemble and processes overnight shipments to branches.
Assist in monthly closings as necessary.
Prepare analysis of accounts as necessary.
You have a high school diploma or higher;
You have general accounting knowledge and at least (4) years of construction accounts payable experience.
You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams).
Knowledge of JD Edwards is a plus.
