At FINFROCK, building has always meant more than putting materials in place. It means showing up for people, working together, and using our time and resources to make a real impact in the communities we serve.

That commitment has been part of our Women Build involvement for years. In fact, last year marked FINFROCK’s 10-year anniversary of supporting this meaningful initiative.

During Women Build 2026, FINFROCK proudly raised more than $20,000 in support of Habitat for Humanity – Seminole Apopka Chapter and joined other teams across Central Florida in helping advance affordable homeownership during International Women’s Month.

Turning Fundraising Into Action

This year’s Women Build effort was powered by the creativity and generosity of the FINFROCK team.

Women Build is a Habitat for Humanity initiative that brings people together to raise money and volunteer on site to help build affordable homes for local families. The funds raised support that work, helping move homeownership within reach while creating opportunities for women to get involved in a hands-on way.

To help raise funds, employees came together for several fun internal events, including:

  • A dunk tank during Employee Appreciation Day, where participants paid for the chance to dunk fellow team members
  • Gift basket raffles during our St. Patrick’s Day celebration, FinPatty’s
  • A paint and sip fundraiser that brought people together for a great cause

These events helped turn company-wide support into meaningful action, and every dollar raised helped support Habitat for Humanity’s work to build safe, affordable housing in our community.

A Build Day That Put Women Front and Center

FINFROCK’s Women Build team brought that mission to life on site, showing what it looks like when women from our company step out into the community and get involved in a hands-on way.

During the build day, FINFROCK volunteers helped with siding, measuring, cutting, and fastening panels to the exterior of the home. It was a chance for the women of FINFROCK to step onto the jobsite, work together, and directly support a project that will make a lasting difference for a local family.

The day was also featured by News 6, which captured the energy of the build and the purpose behind the event. FINFROCK’s Shanda Lee, Executive VP of Marketing, was interviewed as part of the segment, helping share why Women Build matters.

Beyond the work itself, the build day highlighted something bigger: women showing up, learning new skills, supporting one another, and using their time to help create safe, affordable housing in our community.

Why Women Build Matters

The impact of Women Build goes far beyond one jobsite.

At its core, Women Build helps support affordable housing for those who need it most, especially single women and mothers working to provide stability for their families. It is about helping create opportunities for homeownership and a stronger future through safe, affordable housing.

It is also about creating a space for women to step onto the jobsite, learn new skills, and take part in work they may not otherwise have the chance to experience.

For FINFROCK, both of those things matter. Supporting Women Build means helping advance affordable housing while also supporting women in construction, where job sites are still often male-dominated

More Than a Donation, a Team Effort

One of the best parts of Women Build each year is seeing how many people come together to make it happen.

Some volunteered on site. Some donated. Some helped organize events. Some showed support by joining in the fundraising activities that made this year’s contribution possible. Every effort played a role in helping FINFROCK raise more than $20,000 for this important initiative.

That momentum speaks to what makes Women Build so powerful. It gives companies, community members, and volunteers a chance to turn support into something tangible.

Thank You to Everyone Who Helped Make It Happen

We are grateful to everyone who supported FINFROCK’s Women Build 2026 effort, from employees and participants to donors and event attendees.

Your support helped raise funds, create awareness, and contribute to a mission that changes lives through affordable homeownership.

As this year’s home moves toward completion this summer, we are proud to have played a small part in something much bigger: helping build opportunity, stability, and hope for a local family.
