Job Description

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Structural Project Engineer to work on commercial buildings.

The structural project engineer will have the technical background to design structural systems and coordinate structural framing with our in-house architects, construction team and precast production facility.

Reponsibilities

Design structural framing and foundation system

Design Prestressed Precast Concrete components and connections

Lead engineering coordination with internal and external clients or trades as well as Design team members

Process RFIs and Shop Drawings

Establish and maintain schedules for projects assigned

Manage workload of teammates assigned

This role must be able to handle stressful situations, multi-tasking, and working within reasonable time constraints to meet production schedules and budgets. Overtime (40+ hours) may be required as needed.

This position reports to the Chief Project Engineer

Experience

You have a four-year degree in civil or Structural Engineering

You possess an Engineering Intern license already, and the ability to get licensed in the State of Florida within 1 year

You have design experience with concrete and structural steel

Experience with prestressed/precast concrete is a plus

You have a Minimum (5) years of experience as a design or precast engineer

Experience with CAD or 3D modeling software is preferred

You have general knowledge of building construction methods, building systems, and cost implications

You possess excellent time management and organizational skills

You are an excellent communicator

You are a team player and great at collaborating with others

Salary commensurate with experience

You want to be in Central Florida, and are willing to move if you are not already
