Duties & Responsibilities
- Design structural framing and foundation system
- Design Prestressed Precast Concrete components and connections
- Lead engineering coordination with internal and external clients or trades as well as Design team members
- Process RFIs and Shop Drawings
- Establish and maintain schedules for projects assigned
- Manage workload of teammates assigned
This role must be able to handle stressful situations, multi-tasking, and working within reasonable time constraints to meet production schedules and budgets. Overtime (40+ hours) may be required as needed.
This position reports to the Chief Project Engineer
Qualifications
- A four-year degree in civil or structural Engineering
- Possess an Engineering Intern license already the ability to get licensed in the State of Florida within 1 year
- Design experience with concrete and structural steel
- Experience with prestressed/precast concrete is a plus
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a design or precast engineer
- Experience with CAD or 3D modeling software is preferred
- General knowledge of building construction methods, building systems, and cost implications
- Possess excellent time management and organizational skills
- Good communication skills
- Team player and great at collaborating with others
- Currently residing in Central Florida or are willing to relocate
